How Do We Replace A Leaking Water Heater?

Today we’ll be walking you through a few of the steps we use to replace an electric, 50-gallon electric water heater in a home. The old one has been leaking to the point where the rust and calcium buildup is evident. These newer water heaters are taller and slenderer, but we’re confined to the space that we have, so we’re going to install a Rheem 40-gallon electric water heater to replace the defective one.
